Regional Workshop on Trade Facilitation for Arab and Middle-East countries

Objectives of the course

The workshop seeks to improve participants' knowledge of the Trade Facilitation Agreement and to assist participants to prepare their notifications in accordance with the TFA. In addition, participants will be able to learn to identify their countries' technical assistance and capacity-building support requirements (TACB), as well as to identify possible sources of assistance. Finally, as a results of sharing experiences and best practices with others in the region, participants will have an enhanced understanding of the necessary steps to take regarding the establishment and management of National Committee on Trade Facilitation.

Methodology and preparation prior to the course

The workshop will be based on non-traditional and interactive learning tools that will be tested for the first time on this subject in the region.  The facilitators will make a few presentation, but participants will also be required to be active and share your experiences. 

Languages

The workshop will be conducted in English with parallel interpretation into Arabic.
