The project aims at supporting Uzbekistan's development plans to modernize its economy through leveraging the process of WTO accession. Among other areas of intervention, the project will support to strengthen the national institutional capacity for SPS/TBT and trade facilitation compliance, in line with WTO obligations. In particular, the project will support Uzbekistan to establish a National Trade Facilitation Committee as a platform for institutional coordination and public and private sector consultation, particularly with regard to Uzbekistan's implementation of the TFA.
