Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation
The Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation is a public-private partnership supporting governments in developing and least developed countries to implement the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA).
The Alliance is the only initiative delivering trade facilitation support that brings governments and business together as equal partners to facilitate trade. Backed by six donors (United States, Canada, Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom and Australia) and supported by the expertise and insights of hundreds of businesses and associations, the Alliance supports trade facilitation reforms that will deliver measurable results - a clear reduction in the time and cost of cross-border trade for business. All projects directly address articles of the TFA.
The Alliance is hosted by the Centre for International Private Enterprise, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the World Economic Forum, in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). These organisations bring together a unique network of public and private sector stakeholders to ensure that reforms benefit from international best practices.
