Description
To ensure adequate legal provision for the SACU Preferred Trader Programme, IT connectivity and customs modernisation effort to enable regional integration and facilitate trade.

Description
This is an intensive professional programme for the secretariats and members of national trade facilitation committees (NTFCs). The main objective is to help them implement, in a coordinated manner, trade facilitation reforms, including the provisions of the Agreement on Trade Facilitation of the WTO.
We provide 4 to 5 flexible modules which last 3 to 5 days each, according to country-specific needs.
Start up module: Establishing an NTFC;
Module 1: Understanding International Standards and Recommendations;
Module 2: Measuring and implementing trade facilitation;
Module 3: Strengthening an NTFC and establishing a trade facilitation roadmap; and
Module 4: Training of trainers.

Description
To improve the business relationships of Cus-toms Administrations with the private sector and initiate a Regional Preferred Trader Programme (RPTP) that will obtain and support both the na-tional regulatory authorities and trade communi-ty’s expectations towards regional integration and trade facilitation.
Specific Objective: To finalise the SACU Pre-ferred Trader Programme Training Modules and Materials.

Description
This course aimed to build the capacity of committee chairs, help develop a network of contacts among chairs of national trade facilitation committees of different Members and a good working relationship with the organizations that will provide technical assistance to support their respective national committees.
